David graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an option in Accounting from California State University, Northridge in December of 1992. He received his Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University in December of 1997. He also has a California real estate broker’s license.
David has twenty two years of diversified public accounting experience (taxation, accounting, and business management) including with two renowned local CPA firms; Tanner Mainstain Glynn & Johnson, LLP and Nigro Karlin Segal & Feldstein, LLP. He started his CPA practice in 1996 and has published articles in various business journals, given speeches at the Entrepreneur Magazine Small Business Expo, and was on the “Ask the Experts” panel at the Los Angeles Times Small Business Strategies Conferences.
His practice focuses on: taxation (compliance and reporting, planning and savings strategies, research and advice) for individuals and closely held businesses, business management, real estate and other related services such as retirement and financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, overhead analysis, payroll, and write-ups.
In order to expand his services and help his accounting clients with their real estate needs; David began his real estate brokerage firm (in 2009) called SilkRoad Realty, Inc. SilkRoad’s successful transactions include the purchase and sale of residential and commercial properties such as a gas station, multi-family apartments residential and business brokerage; dental, medial and professional businesses.
David believes in an orchestrated team approach for solving client issues by working collectively with other professionals involved in a particular case. His philosophy is that we cannot change the past, but with proper planning, we can change the future and therefore reduce your income tax liabilities. He is very diligent, pragmatic, creative, personable and energetic in his work.
David lives with his wife and three sons in Pacific Palisades. He personally enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family.
